I was taking the assessment test from your portal for 'Schedule Management'. Question number 2 is to to calculate ES of activity E.

I start with '0' instead of '1'. Anyhow for me answer should be '5'. Although, there is no option of 5 in the given answers and also the solution given is not self explanatory. I really need help otherwise if I am calculation it wrong then I really need to understand this concept before moving forward.

For me, activity E has 2 predecessor activities (B, C). Early finish of B is 3 weeks and early finish of C is 5 weeks so Early start of E is 5 weeks. Please explain.
