Dear Saket,

I need help on below question and suggested answer. As per Pmbok page 41, phase end review can be termed as milestone review. however, there is no such word as phase exit (As per pmbok, This point (phase end) may be referred to as stage gate, milestone, phase review, phase gate or kill point).

Thanks,
Sachin G

You have been recently hired to be a project manager at a software product company to develop a new product for the payment gateway. As part of product design, your team has been evaluating the design for such a system using product benchmarking. Your team has just completed one of the project phases by designing a potential prototype. You would like to have model reviewed prior to deciding whether to move to the next phase of the project. Which of the following represents these types of reviews?

Phase exits

Deliverables

Target goals

Milestone
- Solution
A phase-end review can be held with the explicit goals of obtaining authorization to close the current phase and to start the next one. Phase-end reviews are also called phase exits, or phase gates.
